The Aerobatic Racing Challenge Series (ARC Series™) is a new and innovative airplane racing format launched in 2009 featuring high-performance aerobatic aircraft competing on a vertical race course that forces pilots to balance mental strategy and precision flight. Pilots race their aircraft side-by-side through a sequence of aerobatic maneuvers that requires each pilot to fly faster, corner harder, and pull more g-forces. The first aircraft to complete the entire sequence wins the race.

Jelly Belly
Kent Pietsch flies all or any combination of three totally different air show acts starting with a comedy act in which an aileron falls off the airplane along with other parts. For the next act Kent has added a runway to the top of his RV and lands on it during his RV Top Landing show. While landing his RV, Kent cannot see the RV, making this landing very difficult. The third act is the "deadstick" act with power off and the propeller stopped at 6000 feet above the ground, coasting to a stop at show center with the ariplane spinner in the hand of the announcer.
Warren Pietsch flies an aerobatic routine that is quick, precise and up close. Warren also flies high-energy aerobatics in a home built we call a Schnortenzummer@. The acts have a combination of classic and gyroscopic aerobatic maneuvers.
Jet Outhouse
This jet-powered jewel created by Paul Stender has made headlines around the globe. The Port-o-Jet™ Outhose is a standard size model porta-john with one minor modification-a 1,000 horsepower jet engine!
Annoucer: Frank Kingston Smith
Entering his 34th season of announcing airshows, Frank Kingston Smith says he never gets tired of his job. "You have to understand that I have been a pilot since 1967, and I still get a kick of just sitting at an airport." He started announcing airshows in 1977. Small, "farmer's field" shows, as he called them, in New England. Announcing airshows continues to be a labor of love for Frank. Since 1999 he has proudly announced the Reno Air Races. "I'd hate to ever TRY to walk away from this; I have met too many wonderful people, and leaving "cold turkey" would be awful!" Frank continues to voice commercials and industrial films, and together with his wife, Linda Zvara, own an advertising specialities business, Showline Promotional Products, with clients worldwide.
